Candidate for Ohio House of Representatives, District 32

“I’m running for the Statehouse to put my local government experience to work, finding common sense solutions for Ohio’s working families.”

- Jim Colopy

COMMUNICATION

As a candidate, I am making communication with voters and small business a center point of my campaign. In addition to an upcoming “listening tour” with local small businesses, I have pledged to knock on 10,000 doors before election day in November.

Once elected, I am committed to holding regular town hall meetings. This is to ensure that the people of the 32nd House District get responsive representation from their voice at the Statehouse, while providing valuable feedback on the issues that matter most to the citizens I serve.

SOLUTIONS

I will not be distracted by efforts to further divide us with radical cultural issues or extremist agendas.

We need representation that is laser focused on education, job creation and issues that affect everyday workers, seniors, families and young Ohioans. I want to invest in our work force and meet small businesses where their needs are.

We are in a time with both tremendous challenges and opportunity, we need leaders willing to roll up their sleeves to deliver real solutions for the people.

Count on Colopy:
COLLABORATION

With 20 years of experience working in local government and non-profits, I have witnessed firsthand elected officials and citizens from both political parties working together to deliver good-government that positively impacts people’s lives.

Now more than ever, Ohio needs leaders who are willing to put egos and petty politics aside in favor of consensus-building and collaboration.

My track record as a Green City Council member and Council president demonstrates that I know how to work with both sides to deliver results. As your State Representative, I will put my experience in public service and problem solving to work for the people every single day.
